South Carolina Association of Cosmetic Arts Online Class

 This online class have three sessions, professional, salon, and business development. Each session has its own purpose, objectives, and key points. The learning objectives represent the anticipated learning of the overall class. These objectives are reflected in your self-assessments. Sessions online includes three hours (51%) of safety, health, and sanitation.   We welcome the Cosmetologist who wants to share and learn more about Nail Technology. 

Online Course Content: Safety, Sanitation and Health

  • 3 Videos
  • 3 self-assessments
  • 3 texts
  • 5 PDFs
  • 6.3 contact hours** (two days, when payment is received and participant has logged into their online class ONLY the log-in time accounts, Not the contact hours) 
  • 1 survey (USC evaluation)

**Please Note that you have two (2) days to complete your online class. Therefore, you will have 48 hours (2 days) to complete your online class.

This association was founded in 1996; SCACA Alumni, an organization of former students who have become independent contractors, teachers, and business owners across the State of South Carolina.

SCACA enables members to network and share their experiences with those who desire to make a difference through education.  Making a difference means, lowering the cost of our online class due to the pandemic crisis we are facing as nail technicians and cosmetologists. To achieve this mission, the SCACA class online is now $65.00 instead of $105.00. This offer will expire in 3 months, June 20, 2020. We welcome the Cosmetologist who wants to share and learn more about Nail Technology.

SCACA provides an approved 6-hour online Nail Technology class 24 hours a day. Also,  Face-2-Face 6-hour classes. View our classes and enroll in either an Online class or a Face-2-Face class.

 Why am I receiving this online continuing education class?

The South Carolina State Board of Cosmetology statutes and regulations indicate that your license expires biennially (2 years). After your first renewal, all Nail Technicians and Cosmetologist are required to complete a total of 12 continuing education contact hours. You may complete a maximum of 6 hours online and 6 hours in a Face-2-Face class. Or, 12 hours in two Face-2-Face classes.

 What will I need to attend class online or Face-2-Face?

You will need for your online class: 

  1. South Carolina current Nail Technician or Cosmetologist license number, and your 
  2. Last four (4) numbers of licensee social security number

You will need for your Face-2-Face class:

  1. Picture identification (driver's license, passport etc.)
  2. Your  South Carolina  current Nail Technician or Cosmetologist license (small wallet size)
  3. Social Security card ( SC licensee last four numbers required for sign-in).

 What will I learn from this class?

This Online class and Face-2-Face classes have three sessions, professional, salon, and business development. Each session has its own purpose(s), objectives, and key points. The learning objectives represent the anticipated learning of the overall class. These objectives are reflected in your self-assessments. All classes Online and Face-2-Face includes three hours (51%) of safety, health, and sanitation.

 How do I get a certificate of completion?

At the completion of your continuing education session your time spent with us, 6-hours, will be submitted to the Division of Continuing Education at the University of South Carolina (USC) for processing. All participants must receive their certificates of completion from USC before they can be considered compliant with continuing education requirements for renewal of their license. Please allow 10 working days for initial processing, meaning as a provider of continuing education we will submit all information pending participant login date online. Also, Face-2-Face participants CEU credits will be submitted to USC within 10 working days.
